One of their many fascinating behaviors is the way they have to believe that anyone who disagrees with them can only be a radical leftist pinko commie.

I can only guess, but I think they know (at some level) that that's just wrong, that even conservatives who worked for him have called him unfit, dangerous, and even a fascist. This includes RFK Jr, JD Vance, Trump's own Chief of Staff, and a long list of White House staffers and former Trump cabinet members.

That is absolutely unheard of. This has never been said about people so close to a President. The country has never seen this. Not even close. That's just a FACT.

I assume this is some kind of avoidance mechanism. They can't allow themselves to see the reality of the person for whom they've sold their soul.

If you didn't vote for Trump you were greasing the skids for the Democrats.

Let's be clear about what that means/meant for America.

As far as I'm concerned, ideology is an affliction, and it certainly exists on both ends of the political spectrum. So there are definitely many shared behaviors there.

What is new -- at least to me -- is that when I disagree with a lefty, we're looking at a fact and disagreeing on our interpretations of it and ways to address it. With these people, we can't even agree on what is FACT, or basic definitions, or the separation of reality and fantasy. I just don't know how to communicate with that.
