President Coolidge truely, was a great American President. President Harding and He cut taxes and spending across the board, brought us out of the Depression of 1920 for one of the greatest economic eras of history.

Course, then the Progressives took over in the form of Hoover and FDR and caused the great Depression.

It would be nice if America was America again.

The Great Depression began 9 months into Hoovers term.....that's alot of damage for poor Herbert to do in such a short time

Thankfully for Hoover, History has apportioned much of the blame for starting the Depression to his predecessors anti-government regulation policies and hands off direction

But if he would have avoided Keynsian economics, the bounceback would have been within 2 years, not 13.

Apportioned the blame to Coolidge? Really? Huh... that's right, I remember reading and learning about all of them Coolidgevilles. FDR and historians have long since laid the blame on Hoover's policies for being ineffectual to correct the market crash. Besides, it would have happened on anyone's watch. Why? Because the crash was not caused by politics but by bad trading rules on the market allowing too many to overextend and then collapse. It could have recovered quickly, but Hoover did not have the right mindset to do it like Harding and Coolidge did which was to leave it alone if there was no government cuts needed.

Hoover's and FDR's solutions were essentially like a doctor saying to the next of kin "There was a bump on the head, we ran into problems so we had to amputate."

Hoover used the Old Progressive models including associationalism plus signed the Smoot Tariff. If Coolidge had been president, the country would have flatly been run into the ground, and America would not have been prepared for WWII at the end of 1941.

God loved America, so Harding was dead and Coolidge was gone. Coolidge hated Hoover, another indication the old boy was living in the past. Thank God morons who thought like Dude, Fits, daveman, and others today had no influence back then.

And that is why they have no influence today.

Per the Supremacy Clause the federal Government has priority over the states in executing broad powers in running the business of the United States. Those powers not executed by the Federal Government are delegated to the States.
