I just got one of these as somebody told me about them being on Amazon. I never heard of them before then. Has anybody else ever heard of them before? It felt really good to remove my calluses as my feet get really bad with them.

How does it work? Is there a blade or something?

I'm sure someone somewhere probably tried to be really really careful and use an angle grinder, but sometimes those things don't go well.

I used a a diagonal cutter (a pair of dykes) to tackle some really thick callouses bottom of foot.

Mine works very well, but should not be done to oneself in many cases (bottom of feet). And don't forget DO NOT USE THIS when the tissue is wet. You could burn too much flesh off.

I have a recurring calous , it drives me mad sometimes. Theres a small shard of glass embedded deep in my foot and it keeps a constant irratation that builds a callous right there.
Initially I had gone to Kaiser, to see what they could do, Doctor sent me to the podiatrist , which I guess was their specialist. However I was shocked when she didnt even bother to look through a magnifying lens... just pulled out a metal tool which must have been a medeival cheese grater.... rubbed some topical numbing solution on the area... and told me she was going to try to remove it this way. Told me to let her know when it began to hurt too much... (which was almost immediately). but I tried to hang on as long as I could because she was really really cute.... I lasted 30 seconds maybe and then had to tap out. Needless to say I still have the shard and didnt want to go back to those people.
The podiatrist's name?? Dr Lancer. Not kidding.

Yes, go to deep and you hit flesh.

I had to go to something called 'wound care' for a burn on my foot. They used Lidocaine and soaked my foot for a few minutes then they would scrape the burn. Had to go every week for a month. They used all sorts of ointments too, including something I'd never heard of, honey. 'Therahoney'

I was trying to find a video but couldn't but it works very similarly to an electric razor and it's a sanding block. I couldn't really tell you the mechanics of it though.

I've always used a nail clipper with extra finesse to deal with callouses. I gradually clip it right down until I get to "normal" skin. I still have callouses but I have also worked as a butcher and a surveyor intermittently for the past 36 years, it's arguable that there's no real "cure" for me. 😏 Some guys my age are worse. I think my periodic clippings serve their purpose.

What I dread is a time when my eyes get bad to the point that I can't efficiently prune these things on my own, my toenails and fingernails included. I can't but my nails anymore. I only have 6 teeth left! 🤣

So how do you get calluses on your feet by sitting around all day posting on the internet?
