I think he knows nothing will be done, but he'll go on record looking like he's wanting to sweep the streets, and at the same time his precious homeless won't be touched. It's the best of both worlds for him.

He will fool some independents and moderate Dems that WANT to be fooled, instead of voting for Vance, or DeSantis, or whoever wins the Republican Nominations in 2028.
And we have seen the proof time after time. I do think that some Prog politicians want to moderate. It depends on the whole party's views. They think that AOC and Crockett are going to create millions of jobs with their agendas and people like Musk are just no good. Soon enough the 40-year-old hull Arleigh burke class destroyers will cost three billion dollars apiece. We have a problem even designing new hulls for naval ships.

For the most part, homelessness is democrats' fault, especially in California. They have made the state so unlivable that regular people just can't make it. I just read today that in all of their major cities, you need a six figure income just to be able to afford to RENT. On top of that, their open borders and sanctuary cities policies are creating not only a housing crisis and driving up rents, but drawing illegals straight to homelessness. They can't fix this simply by taking the homeless off the streets. They have to fix the policies which created it all in the first place.
Nope......this is a normal tactic of the left.
It's a big part of their playbook.
First they create the problem....and then offer solutions for the problem years later.....as if they didn't cause the problem.
The solutions they offer are always worse than the problem itself.
And it usually means giving up more of our freedoms.
Democrats are making life miserable for their voters, forcing them to leave and spread their messed up voting habits all over the rest of America.
You can take the Democrat out of the blue state, but you can't take the blue state out of the Democrat voter.
They actually hate what they voted for, but they cannot help themselves, and they insist on making the same mistake wherever they move to.

We can't overtly cut off Federal Dollars to dimocrap scum shitholes but Executive and the Legislative Branches control Billions in discretionary spending that they don't deserve. Mostly because -- They'll just piss away what they don't outright steal and also because -- They created the problem, let them either fix it or they can sleep in their own shit.
I could not care less about Blue States. **** them. And the Good People, the Conservatives that live there? **** them, too. They can either fix their own goddamned mess, leave, or squat in their own shit, too.

Coupla things:
1. Moving is expensive and not everyone can afford it.
2. If you've got a decent income and a family you might not want to chase a dream. Hostages to fortune kinda thing.
3. Even in CA there are places that aren't totally whacko. Sucks to live in a blue state, depends on where you are in that state. I feel for 'em though.

As an NYC resident I agree with this. My federal rights under the Constitution shouldn't depend on what State I live in.
