Yeah. Even if Garvey did get more votes than Schiff in the primary, the general would still be between the two candidates. It really makes no difference to the result, but it deserves an explanation.

Garvey's campaign spent practically nothing. Like $1.1 Mil or something. Most of the money spent on his campaign came from Schiff's supporters.

Garvey is well known and liked, he might be able to give bug-eye Schiff a run for his money, who knows. Funny Barbara Lee came in 4th.
