Zone1 California Dems Have Presented a Comprehensive Reparations Package

According to a press release obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the California Legislative Black Caucus has introduced 14 measures related to civil rights, education and criminal justice reform aimed at “dismantling the legacy of slavery and systemic racism,” as they call it.

Not in the slate of legislation is direct payments to descendants of slaves. What is included is >>

• to “restore property taken during raced-based uses of eminent domain to its original owners or provide another effective remedy where appropriate, such as restitution or compensation.”
• safeguard hairstyles that are “natural and protective” in competitive sports,
• governor and state legislature would be required to issue an apology for any role California played in alleged crimes or human rights violations against slaves or their descendants
• seek a constitutional amendment to enable state funding for “increasing the life expectancy of, improving educational outcomes for, or lifting out of poverty specific groups,”

• This proposal could face a challenge in court following the Supreme Court’s June ruling that ended race-based admissions, according to Politico, which first reported the reparations package.

While these kind of legislative packages are typically looked upon by liberals as being in th context of "social justice", they are mostly seen by conservatives as political gimmicks of black legislators to shore up votes, and prevent the loss of votes if they didn't join in on something like this (aka Pandering)

Interesting though how racial discrimination doesn't get the slightest sneer from these folks, as long as blacks are the beneficiaries, and the general taxpaying public are the victims.

I find it amazing how a state that never had legal African American slavery (but currently has sex slaves) is out to give of their economy to a people that should be THIRD in the order of reparations of any people group that is owed if any.

From what I hear, we are supposed to view it like they are receiving an inheritance of a sort. Since the enslaved-Black is no longer here to receive her/his reparations, they say it does not change what is still owed to said Slave vis-a-vis her/his Estate.

I guess its not supposed to matter us Whites, if the payments are going to an Estate being oversaw by the THIRD in the order of reparations of any former Slave that is owed --Liberals feel it is irrelevant to how our White Privilege still maintained a system, a society which made sure Slave descendants suffered systematic financial loss and econo-deprivation at our expense.

By which, ties it allll together into a nice neat claim called... the VERACIOUS EFFECT of Slavery ...therefore not necessarily Slavery itself in terms of our ancestors holding Blacks in bondage for profit via some chattel means.
