Cuss-words is the least of the problem. The only filter worth a damn is the one that filters out every entertainment show. Better still, a sledge hammer is the best filter of all. Smash your TV to pieces and you also get rid of tax dollar funded government propaganda disguised as news. I do not know about you, but I would rather youngsters hear a few F--ks than listen to the Socialist propaganda that permeates the entire entertainment industry.
On the plus side, those who wish to remain free have a healthy distrust of government. Sadly, many Americans believe everything the government tells them in entertainment shows and news broadcasts. A strange aberration to say the least.
Incidentally, the Democrat party controls the two unelected branches of government: The judiciary and the fourth estate. The fourth branch of government’s control over TV includes all of television not just the content of the “news.” (In truth, television is the fifth branch of government.)
NOTE: I once suggested that schools teach young children how to watch television. That is teach them to spot the lies, the propaganda, etc. I pointed out that material for homework assignments is unlimited. Homework would include watching a news show, or an entertainment show, and identify at least three government lies. New World Order and environmental garbage spliced into everything on television would keep the kids busy. By the time the gumps were in highschool they would be inoculated for life against the ravages of TVD (Television Disease).
Evan at a young age I sensed that television was a disease. Perhaps that is why I hated it from the day my parents got their first set sometime around 1947-1948. For many years I did not watch TV at all. I did not start examining TV until late in life. I did so in order to analyze the propaganda. You cannot cure a disease until you understand the symptoms. Before I fully understood the disease I made the mistake of thinking that new technologies would make television obsolete. I am wrong on that one. Television viewing is a pandemic spreading to large parts of the world .
If you cannot accept television as a disease:
than consider it an addiction:
If you cannot accept TV is an addiction, or that you might be an addict, just think about the withdrawal symptoms you will experience should television suddenly disappear from your life. Try going cold turkey and pulling the plug on your TV —— then examine your withdrawal symptoms when you start missing your daily fixes. Most TV addicts will fall off the wagon in less than a week.
I would not consider TV an addiction were it not so destructive. In many ways more destructive than heroin. Certainly more destructive to individual liberties than illegal drugs whose users only kill themselves. Note that no sane person wants drug pushers in their life, yet tens of millions invite liberalism’s pushers into their lives every day. Those same people allow their children to listen to the pushers for hours on end.
