LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Some people have had it with TV. They've had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don't like timing their lives around network show schedules. They're tired of $100-plus monthly bills.

With over 150 channels, there's but a few programs I want to watch not on Spanish language outlets. Read more @ News from The Associated Press

I get by with Netflix and an MLB.com subscription. Haven't missed cable in over 5 years. I believe Apple was working on something to let people subscribe to individual channels. Not sure what progress has been made tho.

Cancel Cable! Go outside!

Damn straight. I realized a while back that anything I actually wanted from TV could be found on the internet, except for live sports, which like TheOldSchool, I get from an MLB subscription (and which I would have needed to watch it on TV anyway). So what's left? A psychological propaganda tool designed to force the user to sit down, shut up and ingest an endless stream of pap that has no higher purpose than to sell soap.
