British-made Banshee Jet UAVs were spotted in the Belgorod region. According to Russian authorities, 3 aircraft-type UAVs were shot down.
On Sunday, April 7, three Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Bryansk region. Military experts suggest that these could be British Jet-80 “Banshee” kamikaze UAVs.
According to the Russian Weapons telegram channel, the Jet-80 “Banshee” has combat equipment weighing 7 kg. Such UAVs were used in the UK to test the interception of cruise missiles by ship-based air defense systems.
To counter such UAVs, Russian combat vehicles of the Pantsir-S1 and Tor-M2U air defense systems must be placed on special truss towers - for improved radar scanning of low-altitude areas of airspace above forests and curves of the terrain, as well as to increase the radio horizon.
It is noted that the Russian Aerospace Forces have all the means necessary to detect and destroy UAVs.
