You are both correct and incorrect. Actually, Gaza belongs to Egypt which won't accept it back. The offer was made when Israel returned the rest of Sinai to Egypt and the Egyptians refused to take Gaza. The West Bank belongs to Jordan which also refuses to accept it back. The offer was made long ago. No one wants the so-called Palestinians under their flag and now that they have been accepted as a nation, they will exist on foreign aid since they have no internal industry or exports. Nothing will change; Gaza and the West Bank will still support terrorism and launch attacks on Israel and the nations supporting Palestine will ignore their lawless behavior and continue to criticize Isreal when it retaliates.Give up what land?

Israel is the first country in known history to have no right to conquest.By the old legal right of conquest, Sinai, Gaza and the West Bank all belong to Israel, or at least as much as South Ossetia, and the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts of Ukraine belong to Russia.
