BREAKING: President Trump Shares Photos Of Kilmar Abrego Garcia's MS-13 Gang Tattoos

However, what was the context of that statement, buttercup? What was the surrounding commentary?

It had to do with red flag laws. You can find the full video on YouTube. I would do it, but I'm about to have a late dinner atm. :)

My understanding was when Trump invoked the Alien Act, that order was negated.

Wrong.
Without the SCOTUS allowing the Alien Act, then doing anything to Kilmar would have been illegal.
But even with the Alien Act, a hearing was still required and not done.
So the deportation is still illegal.

Yeah...I've said all along that he's just the "face" or spokesperson of the powers-that-be at the moment....not the actual mastermind. Unpopular view around here, but I think these days that's the case with all presidents.
Believe it or not, the President is NOT the most powerful figure in our government. That's been true for years.

All I'm getting here are funny reactions, not actual arguments.

Sigh, sometimes you all are just the same.

they received proper notice when MS 13 was designated as a terrorist group months ago ..

Wrong.
In order to deport anyone, like Kilmar, you have to have a hearing to prove MS-13 membership.
There not only was no hearing, but clearly Kilmar is NOT an MS-13 member.
The photo of his hand with MS-13 tattoos has been proven to be a fake.

In 2019 he was given protection from removal by a judge because he said he would be endangered by local gangs in El Salvador yet, he claims not to be a gang member. He held the rank 'Chequeo' and the street name 'Chele' now tell me he's not a gang banger.
The internet is full of accusations, regarding this guy. The only proof would be found in a hearing, represented by counsel. I guess I just prefer the rule of law, over conviction by internet partisanship. If you have been a Republican for more than 10 years, I bet you used to support the Law, the court, and the constitution, also. What changed?

said gang has been designated as a terrorist group .. any member of a terrorist group can be deported .. deal with it ..

No one can be deported without a hearing.
The only hearings Kilmar had are on record saying he would stay.

There not only was no hearing, but clearly Kilmar is NOT an MS-13 member.
Other than what I have already said, I will have to part with you here on that assertion. There is clear visual evidence of his belonging to MS-13. Still a hearing would have been required, which was not held.

It's what happens when emotions override logic.

Believe it or not, the President is NOT the most powerful figure in our government. That's been true for years.

I know. That's why it's kind of funny to me that people get so extremely emotional about him... either on one side or the other. I think that shows that many people don't believe that he's just the spokesperson.

That's pretty sad. I wish I could have lived in the days where presidents thought for themselves.

"I'm the f**king president, I make the decisions, not you!"

All I'm asking is that someone prove me wrong. I would love to be proven wrong. Is that too much to ask for?

are people who are caught illegally crossing the border and immediately turned around and sent back victims of an illegal deportation ?

The order was rescinded and a "withholding of removal" order issued.

Did you actually read that? It says “to El Salvador” because of gang affiliations.

So the only issue is as the left is saying he’s not a gang banger and therefore has been deported to the right country. Or he IS a gang banger and should have been sent somewhere else. Either way, his deportation was ordered. He wasn’t going to ******* stay here.

He had his day in court and was ordered deported. He had a second day in court and was deported just not to El Salvador because his gang affiliation may get him killed. Which I honestly don’t know why we should care. His deportation should be to his home country. His criminal activity there that puts him in danger isn’t our problem.

Here’s where this all ends. He was ordered to be deported by the court. That’s not arguable. Which leaves us two choices for the left to make. Either he is a gang member and should have been deported somewhere other than his home country. Or he’s not a gang banger and is perfectly fine in his home country.

Either way he had his day in court. He’s not staying here.

Wrong.
He came here at the age of 15, so then clearly he committed no crimes and was not a gang member when he came here or after that.
He was never ordered deported by any court.
In fact, the court ordered he could apply for asylum and eventual US citizenship, as well as allowing him to use a Social Security number for legal employment in the US.

The people who have a valid grounds for applying for asylum in the US, are those who are NOT gang members, since it is they who have no defense against gangs.

Depends.
If they have valid ground to apply for asylum, then yes it would be illegal to turn them around and it would be an illegal deportation.

Yeah, and what did Trump do? He did the exact opposite of what that order commanded. If Trump had deported him anywhere else, I might not be raising as much hell over it now.

what's your point ?
The only thing I saw on Trump's photo was what has been described as digital altering to insert ms13 on the knuckles.

My “lyin eyes” see a hand. No idea whose hand that is. Kinda odd that the cops never mentioned that (although they went off on his friggin HAT. ). The immigration judge never saw it.

In fact it only comes up now?

Not that Trump or his people would lie but…
"The tattoos were noted during a 2019 arrest in Maryland, where police flagged Garcia as an MS-13 member based on his clothing (a Chicago Bulls hat and hoodie with money roll imagery) and a confidential informant’s claim, not the tattoos alone. Two immigration judges found the gang allegation credible..."

They are detained, given notice to appear for Title 8 removal proceedings---for which the majority of them do not appear.
