As of 2005 in Brazil, all firearms are required to be registered with the minimum age for gun ownership being 25. It is generally illegal to carry a gun outside a residence, and a special permit granting the right to do so is granted to certain groups, such as law enforcement officers.
Now, some restrictions are lifted BUT.
Requirements for possession such as passing training courses and background checks remain, as does the minimum age requirement of 25 years.

There's NONE OF THAT in the United a states..NONE.

I'm not sure how reliable the epoch times are but I will say that the following youtube channel showcase a lot of incidents from Brazil and backs up Brazilian gun laws.
One example is how rampant motorcyle/scooter thefts are in Brazil. It's not uncommon to see a theft take place and victim of the attempted theft pulls out a guns and stops the theft, even if the perp isn't armed (but many are). Imagine that happening in the states, protecting self and property with a gun against an unarmed assailant. The liberals hair would catch on fire trying to justify the criminal activity.
