This is a case wherein the Arab Palestinians, which overwhelmingly support a corrupt regime are suffering the consequences for the extremely poor leadership they maintain. Mahmoud Abbas is now in the 18th year of his 4 year term.

President Abbas, declared the equivalent of a State of Emergency and holds it in a steady-state. The brutality and violence is necessary for President Abbas to maintain control and steadily add to his Net Worth of about $100M.

The US installed Abbas as dictator for life in 2007. US, (and others) money, weapons, and lies have kept him in power ever since. 85% of the Palestinians want him gone.
