Swimming Pool Safety: Electrocutions Raise Alarm Before Summer - NBC News

http://www.ksl.com/?sid=30011731&nid=157

You can read--if you wish the particulars.

The Dad was on 'some station' this AM--I switched a few times.

Very serious---the electric shock --a switch in the fuse box--a few seconds to fix---maintenance company 'just didn't bother'. Other electrical issues with the house--the dad was stunned and shocked. Lawsuit for the providers of such incompetent, negligent, criminal service.

Dealing with the loss of his son. It was an effort--athletic child--loved to swim and kind to others--protective. He was maybe 7 or 8?---great potential. His Dad wanted to let others know---deeply hurt. I think they must have moved-the incident happened in Miami--the TV said -??New Orleans. A good place to heal---lots of caring and concerned people there and good food, music --beautiful places. 'Forgive'---yes---I guess that will be part of the process. Accept--anyway you can. Don't let it happen to others.

'If' by Rudyard Kipling--my father's favorite poem.

He tried---with what he had been taught--somewhere around 1920. couldn't do what he wanted desperately to do. It made him 'angry'. Anger must be understood and used with great care. It is energy---motivates some to do what they would never have done. Change. Hope. Never lose hope.

Eleanor Roosevelt---'Do the thing you think you cannot do.' She was 'hated', mocked---and she knew what she needed to do. Did it. Mother Theresa--also that kind. Many others. 'To Forgive'----lots of 'work' needed to understand that concept. One way is to 'help'---so many ways. Not that hard. :) I pick up trash. A few other things.

'My career'---I was a teacher. Just always wanted to do that. Couldn't. 'Work'---one of my family's obsessions---that is what I did. lol--attitude. When I first started--I had a rare sort of principal----had been a Marine. Korea. Marines--they really do love what they do. He loved children, people---set the proper example--a good leader. Retired now--has a farm. Certain he has a truck. Had one back then. Certain he has not stopped caring about others. Can't.

This boy's father---he is much closer to what Rudyard Kipling was saying--than mine.

Some people get there 'one way' and some another. I don't know the details of Kipling's life---England---turn of the century--'Stiff Upper Lip'---the Queen could explain. Private people. Her destiny was to be the Queen. She was prepared to do it. Self discipline---certain that is developed from infancy. jmo.
