The Judge will be dropping everything. He doesn't have the authority to hold any federal officer in contempt for doing their job.

They didn't walk into the court room and take the guy, they arrested him after he left. Besides, the judge dismissed the case for prosecutor misconduct, so it's all moot.

ICE has been picking up illegals out side of court rooms forever. Ever since cities and States decided they don't have to abide by federal law. You do realize it a federal crime to aid the entry, harbor, transport, or aid an illegal to remain in the US, right? Once again, educate yourself on the law. I've read a whole lot more of it than I've cared to.

You do realize that local governments don't have the money or resources to enforce immigration law, and that doing so endangers their own communities. That ICE basically ignores their concern and when they DO report dangerous people to ICE, the feds can't be bothered showing up.

The Feds pay local jails to house federal inmates, at least until they can come get them. Nobody is asking the local police to enforce federal law though, police officers aren't going out serving federal immigration warrants. A local police officer doesn't have the authority to do that. You are being lied to if you think that.

At times though, the Feds can pay, and deputize local law enforcement, I know our state allows the Feds to do that, and the Feds and local and state police often work hand and hand to enforce laws.

When local, state and feds work together, you don't have the issues that your link describes.
