I'd resign too if I was put in a position where one of the most pivotal issues in the campaign is being swept aside like it's nothing.

The fact remains that Epstein was charged with sex trafficking (among other things), yet the government wants us to believe he had no customers.

Bongino also had a very profitable podcast that he left behind for what appears to be a sense of duty. He certainly didn't do it for money, given the money he left on the table by not continuing his show. He probably regrets that decision now.

Well Trump could just authorize release of the Epstein files and be cleared of these accusations. Why doesn’t he?

Threats of law suits by innocent people who were associates, but not doing or knowing of Epsteins wrong doing.
Guilt by association can endanger people and is wrong. Maybe he is the one who set up the Clinton Monica fiasco. Those controlling the files could have set up some of those involved in that set up as revenge, or maybe the file exposes members of secret societies and their group or maybe there is a slight coverup as an ode to their oath to that affiliation.
Everything is speculation, you either trust those in charge or you don't.
Maybe they are saving some of these things for the larger cases, as some of the same people are involved, because they wanted desperate to hide this stuff by maintaining power at all costs, the piece of the puzzle only making sense at the end, exposingvthevehole picture and motive for them to abuse power.
