From what I understand, if you are pulled over, the police/sheriff's deputy can ask to search your car. If you refuse, they can continue to detain you until a drug-sniffing K-9 unit arrives and goes around your car in an effort to sniff out any drugs. If they do detect drugs, the officers have "probable cause" to search the vehicle. This procedure is used on blacks, whites, Hispanics, Asians and Native Americans.

Apparently it may have been connected to the boyfriend going back and forth to the car several times during the protest. Anyway, they consented to the search so there really is nothing to see here.....

.....however, if they ever ask to search my vehicle I am going to see if they can get the french fry stuck in a spot I can't reach out at the very least. I will tell them I think my friend made it with weed or something to trick them into being useful.
