FALSE! Being white IS having to deal with racism. Over the past 50 years, the majority of racism, against by far, the largest number of people (whites), has been Affirmative Action. Whites have endued discrimination in job hiring, job promotions, college admissions, college financial aid, business loans, and scores of unfair treatment by law enforcement, pandering to blacks, including much since Obama took over.

Other than this, there has been little racism in America. Racism against blacks is a historical entity that essentially ended with Brown vs Board of Education in 1954, the civil rights laws of the 1960s, and the advent of Affirmative Action discrimination (against whites)

Sorry if you don't like to read long things. I have to wonder why you think Michael Eric Dyson has no credibility. He is an ordained minister, a University Professor of Sociology, author of numerous books, an opinion writer for the New York Times, has been named one of the most influential African Americans in the nation. Is he, to you, without a gram of credibility because he is black? I have to wonder.

By the way, I am going to read the book you suggested. I will no doubt post my reaction to it at some point.

I've seen Michael Eric Dyson speak on TV many times. He is an irresponsible fool, who utters false things constantly, and is the kind of buffoon one can take no more than about 10 minutes without getting sick. As for him being black, so what ? So is Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, Clarence Thomas, Frances Rice, Ward Connerly, Herman Cain, Don King, Alan West, and many others whom I support and respect.

The very thing that the National Anthem kneelers are bitching about, is contradicted by their kneeling (or sitting) actions. They claim to be upset about oppression to blacks. But actually, by kneeling or sitting during the National Anthem, they show (confirmed by NFL Commissioner inaction), that there's a double standard in America. One for blacks, and one for non-blacks.

Trouble is, this double standard shows privilege to blacks, not oppression. It shows another example, among others, whereby blacks thinks they can do what whites cannot, and that they shouldn't be criticized. This is like how many blacks (not all) believe they are entitled to act differently than whites - often in ways that impact whites (and everyone) negatively.

A perfect example is Affirmative Action. To many blacks, racial discrimination is OK, as long as blacks are the beneficiaries, and whites are the victims. Just like Affirmative Action and kneeling during the National Anthem, many blacks will talk rude, cut in front of whites on lines, wear pants low - exposing their underwear, blast obnoxious (sometimes racist) "songs" on car radios, litter profusely, etc.

Who, over the age of 45, can forget when OJ Simpson was (foolishly) hired as an announcer for Monday Night Football ? OJ (a popular guy back then), shocked us all with his grammar that could only be called "atrocious". A typical sentence was >> "He good at tight end, cause he be strong, and he be fast."

Needless to say, OJ was yanked after one season, fully justifiably, but many blacks cried "racism!". To them, qualifications and competence didn't matter. To them, ABC TV was picking on OJ because he was black, or at least they were comfortable portraying it that way. They thought OJ should not have been fired because he had black immunity (AKA privilege ).

So now we see the NFL nitwits who think they are outside the bounds of criticism, even in disrespecting the National Anthem. How weird to hear them say they are expressing unity and respect, when that is exacly the opposite of what they're doing. It must be a combination of 1) growing up with black privilege thinking, and 2) pure stupidity.

They know that only a relative small percentage of them can 'cut it'...even immigrants from places like India and Pakistan, who are not fluent in English, come her and prosper in a very short space of time, Blacks are born here and predisposed to excuse-peddling instead of admitting they cannot cut it!!!

Blacks...not so much.
Non blacks can walk around a store without being followed.

2. If blacks didn't commit so many more crimes than other races, they wouldn't be watched so much.

Apparently so is holding a mirror up to one's self...let's not overlook a seldom discussed aspect of the Black experience in the Americas: The Portuguese, Dutch and Spaniard slave-traders were commercial partners with a spate of African kings and tribal chieftans---who had no moral qualms in rounding up and selling off their own people to the European slave ships on the coast...

2-4 are absolutely true. Black neighborhoods are typically high crime and cops are called to those areas more often for that reason. Black folks do get treated with kid gloves by the media and political establishment because everyone is terrified of being called racist.
