My understanding reminds me of an Amway, multilayered marketing pyramid. People start up new, locally, attract others to assist and help raise funds, and it gets more as you move up the pyramid and even attracting corporate sponsors and/or contributors. Of course, they don't actually have to have a product, the marketing itself is the product. I wouldn't be surprised if they drew circles on a whiteboard to show how the money can be made. As hypocrites to their own hollow slogan marketing name, kind of a galling pain in the ass. I think almost anyone would think better of them if that org actually acted like black lives matter. Some anti-cop buzzword phrase, for a name probably would not have brought in the money, even though that is what they are about. But, now they have become a victim of their own sloganeering.
