I agree. Obama FAILED black America spectacularly. He could have been a HUGE change for good in black America, but instead, he abandoned them, as have so many other prominent blacks and, particularly, black politicians.

Gianno Caldwell documents despair in Chicago: 'President Obama failed the black community'

Finally, Caldwell spoke to Chicago residents and politicians about the legacy of President Barack Obama and whether or not he helped the city of Chicago.

"Over 95 percent of African-Americans supported this President Barack Obama," said Caldwell to former Democratic Illinois representative Ken Duncan, "What did he do for black America?"

"That is still to be determined," replied Duncan. "Some of us are still scratching our heads."

'PUTTING EGO AND POLITICS' BEFORE 'BLACK BODIES': CHICAGO NATIVE ON CITY LEADERS WHO SNUBBED TRUMP

"Right. President Obama failed the black community," argued Caldwell.

If Trump is so good for black folk, why do only 7% support him?

Any poll I've seen has Black support for Trump at least double that number. What is your source?
Their source is probably CNN or some other FAR Left leaning news source. Or they probably just made up that number. 7%, what a crock. I've seen it generally at LEAST 25-30%.

So you want to dish Obama, what specifically has tramp done for the blacks, be specific??
---------------------------------------------------------

  • The unemployment rate for African Americans peaked at 16.8 percent in March 2010, after experiencing a larger percentage-point increase from its pre-recession average to its peak than the overall unemployment rate did. Since then, the African-American unemployment rate has seen a larger percentage-point decline in the recovery, falling much faster than the overall unemployment rate over the last year.

  • The real median income of black households increased by 4.1 percent between 2014 and 2015.

  • The President enacted permanent expansions of the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit, which together now provide about 2 million African-American working families with an average tax cut of about $1,000 each.
  • snip
  • Since the start of Affordable Care Act's first open enrollment period at the end of 2013, the uninsured rate among non-elderly African Americans has declined by more than half. Over that period, about 3 million uninsured nonelderly, African-American adults gained health coverage.
Progress of the African-American Community During the Obama Administration

Obama has done more for the black community, and tramp has done nothing, but call them names.

..can't do much for them...they concentrate on non-critical idiocy [ like cops ] and not their own, critical failures --like crime rates, low graduation AND murdering blacks at four times the rate of white murders
..you can't help people that don't listen

I'm not African-American nor live anywhere near Chicago and so I'm not in any position to agree or disagree. I can only surmise that any improvements will have to come from within as the federal government for a long while now has prioritized foreign nation building over committing the resources to rebuild our inner cities.

Opposing Authoritarian Ideological Fundamentalism.
By far my biggest disappointment of Obama's presidency is that he chose to vote "present" on the race issue.

We've never had a President who was better-equipped to seriously and fully address it, not even close. And he didn't.

In your head
Clinton & Obama closed the black / white employment gap! The closure rate is slowing under Trump, but Bush widened the gap & was the worst president ever.
