Birthright Citizenship…Arguments to begin this week at the Supreme Court.

sorry ...if I wasn't clear....

No, what I am saying is under the example, her parents or parent, were under (or subject to)our jurisdiction when she was born on our soil, thus she, is a citizen at birth....her parents are still alien foreigners, but the child born is not a foreigner, she is a citizen at birth.
OK Why do you think an illegal alien is "subject to" our jurisdiction? Don't get confused with "within" our jurisdiction which gives them certain rights and allows us to put them jail.

Around 20 or more Nations have some form of birthright citizenship... or jus soli... but they all have severe restrictions and rules of who qualifies... like the parents must be in the country legally for a certain number of years before their children can qualify... in other words you can't sneak into their country and go to a hospital shoot out a baby and its a citizen... that only happens here...
The others have enough fortitude to not undermine themselves. We cater too much to wishes and feelings

There you go again. If you do have any common sense, you have to know that the government is not going to deport the parents, leaving the US citizen child to fend for itself. Once the kid is born to an illegal immigrant, they all get to stay. Wise up!!!
Premeditated illegal act we should not cater to

Not at all. Look to the Indians. They were on American soil and not granted birthright citizenship, why should illegals magically qualify?

Indians were not on American soil. They were born on tribal soil and thus not "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" of the United States.

Are they? Or are they "within" our jurisdiction. Explain the difference Ratty.
Within our jurisdiction indicates where they are. Like being within California's jurisdiction.

Subject to our jurisdiction, denotes having legal authority over them.

So a diplomat stationed in the US is within our jurisdiction, but not subject to our jurisdiction.

It has always been an issue

Bit it gets much bigger since trump came along
It hasn't been this big an issue since the nativist Know Nothings of the 1850s.

In fact, I have often thought the Republican Party should be renamed the Know Nothings.

The Know Nothing Party was also known as the American Party, so it's a natural fit for you modern day Know Nothings.

Back during the Know Nothing days, the nativists were all heated up over the Irish, Italians, Germans, French, Poles, and the Catholics.

Basically, everyone but the English.

And they used the exact same rhetoric. "They are bringing crime. They're rapists."

The nativists even accused the immigrants of stealing elections, just like Trump claimed 5 million illegals voted for Hillary Clinton.

Same bullshit, different century.
