Less than half a year since Trump's inauguration, Griffin said he was asked during a recent visit to China, "Why are you trying to be like China?"

He said there isn't a logical reason the US would want to bring manufacturing "jobs that'll never pay much" to the country, but that seems to be the goal of the tariff policies pursued by Trump's administration.

trump is living in the 50's, when there were colored bathrooms, oil was king, and his father could keep darkies out of his apartments. The US is not going back. But he will crash the economy in his efforts to do just that.

Easy for him to say as a billionaire. It allows young men to make a living, have some dignity in doing so and also keeps them out of trouble, off the poisons.

It's inflation is sky high even as everything is made overseas so if government STOPPED SPENDING, a guy making $35k a year could still survive since his expenses won't be as high. It also pays a hell of a lot more than welfare.

The key is the core, national security and high tech jobs. Germany was the envy of the world with their high end manufacturing of vehicles and industrial products. America and Canada for that matter if we didn't have a Police State can do the same.

Just because you are a gubment teatsucker, jimboliar, doesn't mean that there aren't thousands of able-bodied folks looking for a solid job to support themselves and their families. You are the lazy exception to a strong work ethic. Plus you whine all the time and hate America.
Manufacturing jobs at my company pay very well with benefits....this guy is a moron.

Who is going to work these low-paying manufacturing jobs, like hosiery mills, furniture plants, toy factories. $35,000 a year. Damn near anyone can make more than that working for Uber, Door dash, or even reselling yard sale finds. And everyone can make that working at Walmart as a personal shopper.

I mean it is just dumb. Those steel tariffs that went into effect today. Great, maybe prop up a few steelworker jobs. But for ever steelworker there are like FORTY workers that work in manufacturing industries that use steel.

So they pay over $40 per hour then? Awesome. Anything less is meh.

“Why is the US trying to bring back 'jobs that'll never pay much'?”

Because Trump and his supporters are ignorant idiots.

Not only are these jobs low-paying, but they’re mostly semi-skilled manual labor jobs – tedious assembly line work, the kind of work Americans won’t do.

Instead of trying to ‘bring back’ low-paying grunt work, we should instead be investing in education and training programs for Americans to obtain skilled, good paying jobs – but that’s the kind of sound, responsible governance Trump and Republicans are incapable of.

    2
  • Stock Associate: ~$17.00/hour
  • Personal Shopper: ~$15.42/hour
    3
  • Front End Associate: ~$14.94/hour

🔹 Warehouse and Fulfillment:

  • Warehouse Worker: ~$20.85/hour
  • Order Filler: ~$24.41/hour

Aren't you the clowns that scream at the moon about Billionaires wanting to keep wages low?

That happens by keeping Manufacturing OUT of the United States.

Before Congress and The Fed completely destroyed the dollar, a factory worker could provide for his family and own a home without his wife having to work.

And there are places in the country and companies where that can still be done. Trump wants to improve that vastly.
