Feel free to steal my idea. Do you have any billion dollar ideas?

First there was Uber then Doordash. I want to start a company like those but to bathe the elderly. I'm going to go visit my aunt and uncle in Florida. They are really old. I heard she smells like piss. I wish there was a company that I could call to just come in and give the person a bath and dress them. You should not have to be a nurse just to give someone a bath.

This person can also cook, clean, whatever the person needs. Of course when you order your Boober you have to tell them what you need because not all Boober drivers will clean or know how to cook.

I think this is a great idea. I wish I had money to start a company like this. Think about all the house wives sitting around who could sign up for this and go help someone if/when they are free. Maybe when the kids are in school. Or maybe you're a college kid and the family will pay you to stay the night with gramma cause she can't be alone.

How much would a bath cost? To have someone come over, put them in the tub, bathe them, cloth them then leave? $50?

In that scenario I suppose it would depend on the severity of the issue. $50, sure, if it takes them up to an hour. What if the person has real medical issues and/or they want to sit and drink a tea, become friends as many elderly people are lonely. I'd have a scale in the contract where warranted to expand from "clean the person and leave" to include other duties on a per visit basis (for a fee of course).

Also, there is the issue of trust. THAT is the key issue. It's not as simple as passing a criminal background check, they could come inside and lift items out of a vulnerable persons home. I've seen enough hidden videos of hospital and old age staff to be angry.

In theory, yes, your idea would work. It would have to probably be started by the owner and their wife to begin to set the standards, get honest feedback of challenges etc. Then over time, grow and expand due to word of mouth, advertising and reputation.

No one will care about the reputation of a company more than the owners. That is how I would begin my business.

As for ideas, I have numerous ideas. My brain just doesn't stop (perhaps you are the same) I'm sure some would be successful if implemented, others wouldn't of course.

I just don't live in the right system of liberty nor the energy to fight it anymore other than to expose. More of a "I expose you out of spite, not because I know I will be free". Pray that I somehow break out from underneath the boot of the Stasi and I may one day share my ideas in detail with you.

Some are technical in nature and thus creative. Others, not too complicated (more of, "hey, why didnt I think of that?"), all arrived to solve a problem as your idea did.

The best ideas always solve a problem. If you can keep overhead low (especially as a start up), the world is your oyster.

Go forward with implementing it and good luck. I'd do research on areas of older, affluent demographics. Do outreach to Old Age homes etc. Let us know how you do and throw me a bone if you use any of my ideas :)

My friend said she thought of Uber years ago. She used to drive the drunks home from the bar and thought "why don't I start a service" but I would have thought to legally do it, you have to have at least a chauffers license if not a taxi license which cost a lot of money.

So I don't know how Uber and Lyft got around not needing taxi licenses. Yes, I would have to figure out the liabilities, do background checks, etc.

Maybe if the person needs more help or a nurse, then those jobs would cost more. Honestly, if my uncle can't bathe her he should pay for 4 visits a week. Every other day. And I would pay as much as $100. What is the alternative? It's an assisted living place which will cost $6000 a month give or take.

I heard someone say this once. "Find something people hate to do and start a business doing that." House cleaning, car detailing, landscaping. These things don't take a lot of money to start a business. I know a foreigner who's very successful. I asked him how he got so successful. He said he and his wife approached local business' and told them they would clean at night when everyone is gone. Brilliant. Business' will pay more than homes will pay. It's a big building. If it takes 1 night to clean a place you have 5 customers. If you find a 6th customer you start hiring people.

America is where freedom and opportunity arise. Go forth and you will surely succeed.

You can always adjust costs and improve the model so you make money. Expand the team, hire a bunch and then after a couple of years, really make the cash through franchising.

Then relax at the beach and hire others to run the company.

You mean Hospice care?

Yeah, someone beat you to it about 150 years ago.

Can U place a $ on this sealy????>>>

WE got called to do a transfer one night, doc's orders.... basically using an ambulance as a taxi.....no lights/ sirens.....

so we arrive to find a 400+ lb patient in the back of a mobile home who can't walk out to the rig......so we place the patient on the gurney ......off we go

along the way we're taking all the med hx required , and in asking the patient claims the Doc's want her in the ER because the patient had not moved her bowels in over a month

then we hit the frost heave.............and the patient let go......

i really had no idea a human being could store so much sh*t....it just kept coming and coming.....ambulances aren't exactly built with a lot of room, or ventilation......the whole crew had tears from exposure

we had 4 brown tracks from the gurney on into the ER......the nurses were all like 'my shift is over'......the rig had to be taken out of service

Good luck vetting your employees throughout the country.

Whatever you make, it's not enough. LOL.

Isn't it funny the people who do the worst/hardest jobs get paid the least? We should pay the guys with the shovels digging the ditch more than the CEO.

Uber drivers are not sticking their hands in the customer's naked crotch as part of the service. Hopefully.
I believe you can call and order a massage therapist to come to your home. Do they have to be certified? Nope. Just start a LLC, run an add in the paper and you could be a registered sex offender. Who does background checks?

No Uber drivers are sticking their hands in their own crotches and then your food because you never tip. LOL.

massage therapists don't wash your genitals.

Business owners that don't want to be sued out of existence.

I'd probably start tipping your delivery drivers.
