Why do we call it Fossil fuels? Many believe oil is created in the earths core and not from dead organic plants and animals.
Thus, we will never "run out" of oil.
given all the oil gas coal we're finding now you have to wonder!! Could there have been enough plant and animal life to produce all that oil gas and coal ?? Some calculation must be possible that correlates volume of oil with volume of fossil source? It seems to me you'd need 10000 planets like earth to get all that oil gas and fuel!!
You do have problems of understanding scale, don't you.
If the rosey estimates of the total amount of oil underground are right (which includes 'all the oil gas coal we're finding now', which leads me to believe you have no idea that most of what we're "finding now" has been well-known for decades as a potential source of oil but has been too expensive to extract while we used up the easy to get stuff, Brazil's Tupi and the Bakken find are prime examples) at about 8 trillion barrels (we've only extracted 1 trillion so far), then with the volume of a barrel of oil at about 160 liters, 8,000,000,000,000 of them would be about 1,280,000,000,000,000 (1 quadrillion, 280 trillion).
So what's the volume of the Earth in liters, for comparison? You said you'd need "10000 planets like earth" to get that much oil and gas. How wrong were you?
Volume of the Earth in liters: 1.1 x 10^24
Um, what's that little ^ sign and what does that mean? If you forgot grade school math, it means 1.1 times 10 followed by 24 zeros. Or for you visual people, this much:
1,100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
compared to.......1,280,000,000,000,000
or 1 trillion times
LESS.
Not 10,000 times more.
Eddie, you really have problems, not the least of which is terrible math skills.
Which is probably why you're so easily brainwashed into thinking growth can continue forever in a finite environment like the Earth. When you can't even do the simple math to avoid making yourself look like a fool (not a hard job for you), how can anybody even expect you to understand the monetary system.
Which, in cased you missed it, is now strangling Cyprus, which is actually considering 'taxing'(stealing) from people's banks deposits. The deal reached tonight only will steal from those with accounts over 100,000 euros. There's your wonderful banking system in action. Save the banks, **** the people. And the banks are still closed in Cyprus too.
