Big Dumper just passed freaking Mickey Mantle for most all-time homers by a switch hitter!!!

Unbelievable, and he's the every day catcher! I just hope he stays healthy.

having a banner year for sure, course he's freaking HUGE which helps.
Mantle was not that big, probably drank beer before the game

back then baseball was a sport for fun, they were paid about what a welder did or so, not like today
with 20m+ to play for 6 months

Look at judge who I recall has the record, he's 6'7, a freaking monster

Yes he is big, but he isn't a first baseman he plays every day catcher. That's grueling for someone 6 3" and 230 pounds. He is a remarkable athlete. Mantle wasn't quite six feet tall as I recall but also a great athlete. And remember the pitchers Mantle faced were not the caliber Raleigh and Judge face.

That's the same stadium the Royals beat (robbed) the Cardinals in a World Series in 1985. One of the most memorable I've ever watched though. What a dump it is today by MLB standards.

I'm rooting for Kyle Schwarber to end up with more homers this season.

He's three homers behind Raleigh, but it's not unheard of for Schwarber to put four out of the park in a single game either. He's done it recently, so he could very well surpass Raleigh.

Not to take anything away from Raleigh, I just like Schwarber more.

I'd like to see him end up with the MVP, too, but being a DH the cards are stacked against him by default.

pitchers today have created new ways to throw the ball and put some crazy spin on them, if they slow it down a slider looks like a globe spinning, they have a knuckle curve too, it's a true art form

If you get a slow down on a paul skenes splinker he came up with, how he can throw that at 90+ with that rotation is freaking amazing, it really is something to see

I really like Skenes pitching motion. It looks smooth and fluid even on a 100 mph fastball.

Schwarber is one of my favorite players.
