I loved this article, complaining about all of the challenges the Democrats are facing, yet failing to mention that every one they created!

That's going to a play they make. Create a problem, then spend so much time complaining about it after a while people stop thinking they are responsible for it, then right when it gets close to election time they undo the policies they created that caused the problem and then publicly pat themselves on the back for making things a little better (but still worse than before they took control).

Step 1 create a problem

Step 2 let the problem run so long it feels normal

Step 3 take a little stress off the problem

Step 4 wait for the congratulations to roll in
