Biden's FCC fast tracking sale of radio stations to Soros

I go back to my point.

Americans don't understand Chinese culture, history or concerns.

To America, Taiwan is this plucky little democracy. To China, Taiwan is a renegade province that has been encouraged by foreign powers.

China has had a long history of foreign invasions and interventions. The Mongols and Manchus, the Opium Wars, the Taiping Rebellion (Started by Chinese who adopted a corrupted version of Christianity), the Boxer Rebellion, the Warlord Era, and finally, the Japanese invasions that ended in WWII.

So we go in there beating our chest over Taiwan or the Spratleys, we risk escalation.

I don't agree with the complaints about the media. There's an abundance of choices an individual has to read, watch and listen to these days. If the concern is about what choices others are making, well, you're not their nanny.

This attitude first struck me way back in the early 1990's when we had the liberals crying about Rush Limbaugh. I recall listen to Limbaugh for a few weeks when he first gained popularity but after the constant feeling of being talked down to, it was easy enough to switch him off. The complaints against him seemed silly.

Soros is buying up a busted ass radio network that has declared bankruptcy... just not seeing the problem here.

And why would he be buying it then ? You don't see that as a question (problem) ?

Naw, I don't think Soros is hiding under my bed like you people do.

It seems like a reasonable question to ask.

If they are going under and losing listenership, why would he buy them ?

Is there a business case here ?
