Bidenomics Devastation: 5,500 Store Closures in '23 – Up 30% - Is Your Favorite Next?

the idiots stopped and refused to carry My Pillow. Even shot off corporate mouth about it in 2021? Lost 60% right there.

why would they carry a piece of shit pillow that my dog refused to sleep on?

that must have been why 9300 stores closed in 2019
You ignore the 4300 that opened in 2019. Payless finally died it's long death in 2019, that is around 2200 of the store closings, but that had been going on for years.

and you all are ignoring the 5800 plus stores that opened in 2023.

Look, if you want to blame store closing on the POTUS I am all on board, as long as you are consistent with it.

Why did 9300 stores close in 2019?
Payless finally went bust, 2200 stores, family dollar closed 350ish underperforming stores, but opened others, you conveniently ignore the 4300 that opened in 2019 so the net loss was only 5000, and just less than half of those were ONE company.

Details, gulper, details. You always seem to miss those.

Why did 9300 stores close in 2019?

Why are retailers fleeing Dem / Socialist Hell holes?

From the earlier link:
For the Democratic Party, economic growth is apparently the mass closure of retail stores throughout the country.

Stores such as Walgreens point the finger at rising theft rates for their high closure rates, noting that crime has been having major negative ramifications on locations’ profitability

Here is a bit of business advice for you. Retailers are not charities. They don't stay open for business when Dems / Socialists allow theft.

No, we aren't. We are pointing out how the inner cities are again being fucked over by government policies.

Funny that.

Are those retailers opening stores in the same Dem / Socialist Hell holes they announced they are fleeing because of rampant crime?

Waste of time on most of these board loons. Flagship Old Navy, Nordstoms, Anchor Steam leaves SF citing crime and theft. That goes over their deep state brainwashed heads.

There have been many stores closing in this area. Some of them had been operating for many years quite successfully. Of course internet shopping has cut into their profit margin.

That was during Trumps historic economy
Biggest ever

well, are back to the same old same old....stores close when there is Repub in the White House they have nothing to do with it, stores close when there is a Dem in the White House it is 100% their fault.

So damn boring

I don’t think that word means what you think it does

Bed Bath and Beyond was the largest closure in 2023
Had little to do with urban crime rates

I think shitbrains Hollie expected them to come out with the truth and say, “Our prices are too high and we can’t compete with Amazon” instead of making excuses for crime.

Every chain store factors in some shrinkage. Most wives of Trump supporters have to deal with it as well.

I blame Amazon
Thats accounts for some of it

But the massive number of empty stores in Beverly Hills is not because of Amazon or Ebay

However it may have less to do with biden and more to do with gov newsome and the democrats running california

Ditto for san francisco where druggies and shoplifters are driving retailers away

We're back to your refusal to accept reality.

The retailers made it clear that rampant crime promoted by Dem / Socialist policies was a major factor for fleeing.

What's boring is the notion that you don't understand what retailers have acknowledged.

It seems the juvenile name-caller can't address the thread topic and as usual is relegated to cheap attempts at insult and thread spamming.

Your cheap spam is a waste of bandwidth
There we go....thanks for confirming you’ve got nothing.

Care to address the 9300 stores that closed under your blob in 2019--a year before Covid?

No?

I didn’t think so.

Thanks for the batting practice.
