Chronos always wins in the end. You must accept and embrace. I went night fishing Saturday night. Went with a bunch of youngins. Guys I could keep up with just two short years ago. Went about 20 yards out into the lake. Stepped on some rocks that were shaped oddly and hard to stand on. Got hit by a four foot wave at the same time. Went for a little swim at near freezing temps. That shit would not have happened just a couple of years ago. It is what it is, this is the natural progression of life. Tomorrow I will go to yet another funeral of a childhood friend. Cancer got him. My best friend since 11 had a heart stint put in just last week. Ya, it sucks but the only alternative to getting old is death. It ain't all bad. Hanging with my grandbabies is awesome. All love and no need to be the heavy, lol. That is their mother and fathers job. I still get invited to hunt and fish with the 20 somethings. They never leave me out. Hell those guys spend more time with me than my own sons. Till I die there are still more fish to catch, vermin to shoot and eat, golf balls to be hit.
