If you start on the premise that the vote was never about Biden or Harris, it was only for or against Trump, do you think that there was anyone out there who voted for Harris who wouldn't have voted for Biden if that was the choice?

Contrarywise, were there people who voted for Biden in 2020 who didn't like the way Joe was shuffled out of the way and just chose not to vote?

I don't know, because, frankly, those people don't post here. I have yet to talk to someone who voted for Biden in 2020 but voted for Trump in 2024. I assume these people exist, but I haven't heard from them.

The egos of politicians are something most people couldn't imagine.

Not even considering his clear decline as his term wore on, how he looked in that debate should have been all he needed to know. I don't know if he watched the debate, and if he did, if he allowed himself to ignore how he looked. Maybe he feels younger inside than he looks outside, but I don't know how he can think he looks strong enough to continue. And I have to wonder if Jill was suffering from the same delusion.

I don't think presidencies can really be judged until a few years after they're over. But what's already clear is that there's no way he would been fit to serve another term, and this is not a good look.
