Foreign nationals were barred from entering the U.S. if they had visited China within the past two weeks.
Even after the order went into effect on February 2, some 40,000 people – traveling on 279 flights – have arrived in the U.S. from China, according to the analysis from the New York Times based on data collected in both countries.
Those individuals were exempt from the restrictions because they were either American citizens, U.S. passport or green cardholders. Non-citizen relatives were also permitted to enter the U.S., an exemption made by the president to prevent the separation of families.
Some of those flights arrived within the past week from Beijing into major U.S. airports in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.

Canadian tar sands are really corrosive sludge .. nobody really wants it so its deeply discounted to the US. It probably does cost more to refine.
Don't know about oversupply causing prices to increase .. Storing oil above ground is a real loser's proposition. You have to realize none of that is going to be sold in the US anyway.. and they will by-pass the Mid West refineried that were retrofitted to deal with tar sands..

If you remember, his comment was made when the blob ordered the ban on China very early in the pandemic cycle, before it hit like a cyclone. Biden was mistaken, and it is ok, so stop hanging your hat on it because he is doing the right thing. Trump was punishing China because they were not yielding to the blob's pugnacious manner.

Canadian tar sands are really corrosive sludge .. nobody really wants it so its deeply discounted to the US. It probably does cost more to refine.
Don't know about oversupply causing prices to increase .. Storing oil above ground is a real loser's proposition. You have to realize none of that is going to be sold in the US anyway.. and they will by-pass the Mid West refineried that were retrofitted to deal with tar sands..

We just discussed that. It won't cause an oversupply in the US. Gasoline in the US is still bargain.. prices at the pump haven't kept up with housig costs or college costs or healthcare or automobile prices.
