Temporary work visas are for them, (if memory serves) not for their families, they can go home on weekends or holidays, or time off, or if living near the border, daily, or between harvests....
Those costs get drastically cut.
Their children aren't brought here when on a temporary work visa from Mexico, (with few exceptions perhaps?). Because they can cross the border to get home when they want...
This is why the temporary work visa with free access to either country, was introduced by president Bush.... To keep Mexican worker families, including kids, in Mexico is my understanding, and not in in dating our schools.

The temporary work visa requirements would likely weed out most of the bad guys, at least much better than what we have now.

The Biden-Harris White House is shattering a system that was already cracking. My organization recently submitted state freedom of information requests on the number of Medicaid applicants who can’t prove their citizenship status yet receive coverage anyway.
the nine responsive states showed that between 2019 and 2023, the number of illegal aliens on Medicaid grew by 500%. The expense to taxpayers has also soared. In the five states that provided financial information, taxpayers forked over nearly 550% more to cover illegal aliens. Across all 50 states, it’s likely that at least 100,000 ineligible aliens are on Medicaid, potentially costing at least a billion dollars a year.

It’s a message tailored for Americans who are still exasperated by the jump in consumer prices that began 3 1/2 years ago.
Yet most mainstream economists say Trump’s policy proposals wouldn’t vanquish inflation. They’d make it worse. They warn that his plans to impose huge tariffs on imported goods, deport millions of migrant workers and demand a voice in the Federal Reserve’s interest rate policies would likely send prices surging.
Sixteen Nobel Prize-winning economists signed a letter in June expressing fear that Trump’s proposals would “reignite’’ inflation, which has plummeted since peaking at 9.1% in 2022 and is nearly back to the Fed’s 2% target.
The Nobel economists noted that they aren’t alone in sounding the alarm.
