Contrary to Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland's repeated claims of no interference from the DOJ in the numerous investigations into the President's son, Hunter Biden, newly released emails show high-level officials from the DOJ demanded and received a full briefing on all investigations into the younger Biden just 16 days after his father's inauguration.
Under wraps for more than two years, these emails show the earliest known intervention by Biden officials and political appointees in federal investigations into the President's son.
The information was among thousands of documents provided by IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler to the House Ways and Means Committee, and the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
The emails reveal the involvement of Biden administration officials in these cases, where they had no legitimate authority nor officially sanctioned interest.

The meeting was held in Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss' office on Feb. 5, 2021. Weiss was the prosecutor in charge of the Hunter Biden investigations.
Once hearing about the meeting from Ziegler, Shaply, his supervisory agent at the IRS raised concerns with his IRS supervisors over the involvement of political actors working for the target's father.
AG Garland has maintained that his agency has been "hands off" regarding the Hunter Biden investigations, and that US Attorney Weiss had full, unimpeded authority, a claim Congressional investigators consider dubious.
Corroborating testimony has come from FBI whistleblowers, describing instances where Biden-appointed U.S. Attorneys in both Los Angeles and Washington D.C. prevented Weiss from charging Hunter Biden with tax crimes that occurred in their jurisdictions. The end result being, the statute of limitations expired on the most damning crimes involving the President's son, preventing accountability.
Further documents surrounding the meeting will be requested by the relevant Congressional investigators in coming days.
