Verkhovna Rada deputy (Ukrainian parliament) Andriy Derkach released an audio recording in which, presumably, former the United States Vice President Joe Biden offers the then-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko $ 1 billion for the resignation of Attorney General Viktor Shokin. It is reported by 112 Ukraine.
“Today we will unveil recordings of telephone conversations with voices similar to those of Petro Poroshenko and Joseph Biden, testifying to the facts of international corruption and state treason at the highest state level,” Derkach said.
It is allegedly heard that Poroshenko is proposing to the post of Prosecutor General of the country instead of Shokin his godfather, Yuri Lutsenko in the audio recording,
According to Derkach, he handed over all the hours-long records to the office of the Prosecutor General along with a statement of crimes to institute criminal proceedings.
Mr. Shokin investigated the illegal activities of the oil and gas company Burisma, in which Biden's son Hunter worked.
