A Lebanese migrant who was caught sneaking over the border admitted he’s a member of Hezbollah, he hoped to make a bomb, and his destination was New York, The Post can reveal.

Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, was caught by border patrol on March 9 near El Paso, Texas. While in custody he asked what he was doing in the US, to which he replied: “I’m going to try to make a bomb,” according to a Border Patrol document exclusively obtained by The Post.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has called allegations that a Haitian migrant raped a disabled 15-year-old girl "heinous."

Cory Alvarez, the 26-year-old Haitian national charged with raping the teen at a Massachusetts hotel that was housing migrants last week, entered the U.S. last summer via President Biden’s controversial CHNV parole program. He was flown into New York City directly from Haiti.

"CHNV" stands for Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela. The program allows up to 30,000 people each month from these countries to fly into the U.S. and be granted two years of humanitarian parole, which allows them to apply to work in the U.S.

Administration officials have said these individuals are screened and vetted against national security and public safety databases. Anyone found to be a threat to national or public safety is denied admission and removed.

A Colombian national was found to be a “positive match” on the terror watchlist and identified as a former member of the Revolutionary Forces of Colombia (FARC) after he was arrested for illegally crossing the southern border, The Post can reveal.

Jerminton Genaro-Quinones Carvajal — who was arrested near El Paso, Texas, on March 8 — admitted to previously overseeing the “transportation of goods and unmarked crates” which he knew sometimes contained firearms, ammunition and cocaine for the FARC, according to an exclusively obtained internal US Border Patrol memo.

Federal authorities secured prosecution for Carvajal for illegal entry into the US. He is being kept in custody until he has a court date to be sentenced on March 25, according to federal court papers.

The court papers also note Carvajal entered the US by swimming the Rio Grande. They also state he has no criminal history in the US, so his sentence will likely be no longer than six months in prison.

O'FALLON, Mo. (KMOX) - An undocumented immigrant is charged with Assault and Armed Criminal Action, following a double stabbing in O'Fallon, Missouri Sunday afternoon.
Police say Jose Barrera assaulted two victims inside Highlander Laundry on Sonderen Street. He allegedly engaged in a brief exchange with one of the victims before the physical attack.
That person ran outside, Barrera followed, and alleegedly stabbed that person in the back. When the second victim interviened, they were also stabbed in the back. Both people's injuries are non life threatening.
Barrera had a Homeland Security issued detainer, recognizing him as undocumented, who entered through Eagle Pass, Texas.

SWANSEA, Ill. (First Alert 4) - A Swansea police officer is being hailed a hero after a traffic stop Saturday that led to an arrest.

During the traffic stop, an officer discovered 44-year-old Joel M. De Jesus-Diaz was wearing body armor. Police said he also had five loaded guns, one unloaded gun, multiple loaded high-capacity magazines and loose ammunition.

Matt Blomberg is the police chief in Swansea.

“It’s very concerning when you come across that caliber of weapons, the number of weapons or the amount of ammunition,” he said.

De Jesus-Diaz was arrested on Highway 159 at Lakeland Boulevard, a straight drive north of downtown Belleville. The arrest came in the hours before hundreds gathered in downtown Belleville for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
