much as i like the Russians, their tenacity in battle, their leaderships (socialism, their current leaders),
their reluctance to just retreat and end the war that way,
and their imports of North Korean soldiers and military gear,
lead me to now "approve" of this change of course by the Americans.

i even hope Trump extends this (near-)final Biden administration decision.
it wouldn't hurt to teach the current youth of North Korea the many prices of war,
MUTILATION INCLUDED, as the Muslims did against the US and their allies all over the Middle East.

In any case, the Ukrainians can't operate those long range missiles on their own. Those weapons have GPS targeting and a dedicated system ran by the US military. Ukraine can only pick the targets. Constitutionally, if Biden, as commander in chief, wants to escalate Ukraine into a full-blown war, he has to first ask Congress to declare it. Of course, that formality hasn’t been honored since the middle of the last century. But the president has always at least had to explain his rationale in some way.

Right now, President Biden is insufficiently compos mentis to do that. He has been deemed mentally incapable by his own Justice Department’s special counsel of standing trial in a mishandling-of-documents case and physically incapable by his own party of managing a presidential campaign. With the elected commander-in-chief absent from the scene, this poses an awkward question:. Who is really pulling the strings? Who in this administration is escalating the Russia-Ukraine war by drawing the United States closer to active participation in it?
