Every state should do their EC as Maine had it.

First, know that the number of electors each state is given, is done by population... for every House Member they have in the US Congress they get 1 elector, plus each state gets 2 extra electors, for each of their 2 senators.

If done as the state of Maine did, and electors are divied up and given proportionately, as how the State citizens vote....both Biden and Trump would get electors porportionately as to how citizens chose, then the two extra electors each state gets representing their 2 senators, would go to the candidate who won the overall state.

Small states are still weighted in their total electors, because a state with only 500,000 citizens get the two extra electors representing senators, and a state with 30 million citizens, still only gets the two extra electors....

Last election in Maine, Trump won one district, Clinton won the other district. Clinton got 1 elector, Trump got 1 elector.

Clinton won the overall popular vote in the state, so she also got the 2 extra electors given that represent their 2 senators.
