The Capitol may be the “People’s House” but she wasn’t there as one of the people she was there is an insurrectionist, with the intention of disrupting the people’s business and preventing the certification of the election. She was there illegally, and she was attacking the police who were protecting those who were attempting to do the peoples business.

Just with as with any assault, the police had no way of knowing whether or not she was armed, and her refusal to obey police orders left them no alternative but to stop her by whatever means necessary.

Her shooting stopped the rest of the insurrectionists in their tracks, allowing the elected representatives and leaders of Congress to escape safely.

Its true her shooting stopped everyone else, but that is the point.
That is a bad thing.
Congress should be more wary of the people, even those who are wrong.
The capital should be occupied more often, maybe on a regular basis.
And police have no such authority.

The police are only borrowing OUR authority, and had no right to shoot, at all.

If there actually was a threat, then some action could be warranted by the police, because the protestors obviously were wrong and did not represent the majority or a reasonable cause.
But since no threat was ever manifest, then they over reacted in my opinion, and committed deliberate 2nd degree murder.
Which can't be allowed.
No different than the Czar having the Cossacks hack down protestors in 1905.
Protests, especially ones we do not agree with, must always be allowed.

In an effort to take that seriously, I would say that the political climate in America will be the deciding factor. If momentum for Trump increases and his popularity becomes a political threat again then your 'opinion' could be found correct. If Trump's popularity declines and he becomes sidelined and irrelevant, the opposite will be accepted.

Check with Law Enforcement and the Military on protestors being cleared out of Lafayette Park. Trump did take the photo opp but the reason protestors needed to be cleared is because they were hurling objects at White House security and starting to scale the White House fencing. Based on your logic, White House Security should have let them through and shot them for their treasonous behavior.

Hell, that would have been Kent State on steroids for you people.
