Caught Billy Wilder's "One, Two, Three" the other day on PBS. One of the great and most underrated films out there IMHO...
Quick heads up:
- Circa 1961 Coca Cola's man in West Berlin is supposed to be watching the boss' daughter but she's a bit wild and slips into East Berlin and gets married to a young/poor Commie revolutionary.
- The solution is to frame the Commie for balloon propaganda and possession of a yankee doodle coo coo clock. In E. Berlin the commie/husband falsely confesses to being an American spy under torture (of repeated playing of "itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini")
- However, the husband must be stolen back post haste when it's learned the daughter is preggers. Executed hilariously and with but one casualty, the sexy secretary's polka dot dress. Now the commie must be turned into a respectable euro-capitalist in the few hours before ma and pa arrive to reclaim their daughter...
