So you get less production for the same cost. Makes sense.
Like I’ve been saying, we should get rid of child labor laws and eliminate the min wage. There are plenty of jobs we can have kids do for a buck an hour... Think how many jobs that would create... not to mention the profits!!
You would work for a buck an hour?

Contact the Sanders campaign.
I wouldn’t but I sure as hell wouldn’t mind paying some kids a buck an hour instead of $15 an hour

From the link in the OP:

" The self-described socialist candidate said junior field organizers earn roughly $36,000 per year in salary, with employer-paid health care and sick leave. But he acknowledged that their salary can effectively dip below $15 per hour if staffers work much more than 40 hours per week, which is common on presidential campaigns.

The solution is to "limit the number of hours staffers work to 42 or 43 each week to ensure they’re making the equivalent of $15 an hour," he told the Register's Brianne Pfannenstiel."

The linked article also says those employees are unionized. What kind of union allows it's employees to work overtime without getting paid for it?

I can see what's coming, employees will clock out when their hours worked hits 40, and then go back to work. Or get fired if they don't.

WTF, illegals are cheap enough for you, now you want to implement child slave labor at $1/hour?
I just don’t see why government needs to regulate the free market. If people object to a company employing children then they can not buy their products.

Well, someone needs to oversee the market, otherwise you end up with idiots that want to take advantage....of kids for example.

So are you in favor of the government doing this regulation? Do you support this $15 an hour business?

So you are happy with government regulating the market but you just think $15 is too high. What do you think the right amount is and why?

Minimum wage is fine where it is. The intended purpose is to get a first job, not make a career.

But how is the standard set? If one dollar is too low and $15 is too high then there should be some form of measurement and analysis to determine where it should be, right?

It's the same for SALARY employees everywhere. You get paid a salary per year no matter how many hours you work per week.

So is this the debate, how a standard should be set? I think we both know better, so cut the BS.

Yes, that’s absolutely the debate. What did you think it was?

Gee, let me see, well, the thread title suggests Bernie Sanders and $15/how minimum.

Right and you think that $15 is too high and you also think the government should have regulation power over this kind of stuff so me asking how the min wage gets qualified is a perfectly valid question...

Then stiffs his own staff.

Hypocrisy?

Bernie Sanders' campaign staff has unionized and is demanding a $15 per hour "living wage" and 100%-paid health care for those earning under $60k. The campaign leadership has thus far resisted. https://t.co/mui0DLefis

There’s more @ Bernie Sanders advocates for a $15/hr minimum wage, but his own staff are paid less. - The Daily Sheeple

Bernie Sanders’ Staff Demands $15 Per Hour Minimum Wage—For Themselves @ Bernie Sanders' Staff Demands $15 Per Hour Minimum Wage
That’s exactly how socialism works - screw the little guy.
Nevermind the $15, where's the fucking free healthcare, free college and a wage enough to buy a house???

Is Bernie lying for votes?

I take it you didn't read any links or articles about this. His staffers get 100% health insurance coverage on top of their $15 an hour salaries.

Imagine that. Bernie is having to do the same exact thing many small businesses are being forced to do.

Sure we’ll pay you $15/hr. But your 40 hour week is now 25!

:lmao:

More proof that Socialism doesn't work.
Democrats are hypocrites.....promising the world to voters and delivering squat to their own employees.
