If carbon dioxide were such a problem, it isn't, we'd be running our electricity grid with thorium fueled nuclear reactors and then using the abundant supply of clean and cheap electricity to produce hydrogen to run cars, trucks and airplanes on cleanly. But we aren't doing that. Instead we're putting way too much time and money pursing idiotic shit like wind and solar which will never be economically viable. The only thing one can surmise is that CO2 emissions is not the big deal that its made out to be. If it were we'd have been doing the thorium nuclear thing years ago shortly after it was proven to be a viable technology and to work as well as we'd hoped it would. The only thing is it's such a disruptive technology it would turn the current socioeconomic structure on its head and overturn way too many apple carts. In the meantime they are successfully distracting fools and the technical illiterate with stupid shit like solar and wind that will never prove viable simply because you can't put it where or when you need it.

The batteries are only a small part of the problem with electric cars. You must understand a thing in engineering called conversion loss to understand the crux of the problem.. After that you have to wonder were all of the electricity is coming from when they can't even keep the fucking lights on now. The upshot of electric cars today is that it's simply a horribly inefficient and ineffective way to burn fossil fuel to power a car.

No government has the answer. Communist, socialist, and fascist pollute. Oil is liquid gold, way cheaper than any source of energy. Too many people are selfish and greedy to save their own kind.
