Crappy piece of journalist opinion that OP link was.. No wonder P.F. liked it..
Instead of accepting Hamas 10 year truce -- Israel and it's evil allies decided on a 51 day war... WHAT -- ANOTHER 10 year truce? Where is THIS ONE? By the same guy who was angered that the USA took out that great Muslim warrior bin Laden?
So many offers of 10 year truces -- that appear only in the NYTimes Op Ed page.. Last year's war had NOTHING to do with miles of military tunnels under Israel or rocket attacks == did it??
Snore........
A blockade is an act of war. The rockets are a response to that aggression.
The tunnels were not used to attack civilians. They were only used to take out attacking military forces. A legitimate form of defense by any standards.
Israel rejects a truce because they would not be able to steal any more land.
LINK to the law that says a blockade is an act of war. The blockade was in response to the rockets which came first, which puts that LIE to bed.
Israel viewed the Naval Blockade on the Straits of Tiran as an act of war.
What's good for the goose...
The tunnels where destined to be used to blow up Israeli schools when the children where in them so they were to be used against innocent unarmed civilians. Not a legitimate form of defence, and nor is kidnapping soldiers. So LIE two put to bed
Soldiers are not kidnapped. They are captured. One lie.
The tunnels were only used against troops. No civilians were attacked. Another lie.
How about a LINK to this as Israel refused the truce because it was not a real truce and had clauses that meant hamas could end it without warning. What land has Israel stolen that was not theirs to begin with ? LIE 3 ran screaming to bed.
Israel will not agree to anything were they must stop attacking Palestinians.
Unless you can prove otherwise.
As usual, tinny, you're a failure as a propaganda spokes-slob for Islamic terrorists.
You fail to acknowledge that the Hamas terrorists use their tunnels for smuggling arms and ammunition used to attack Israeli citizens. Your Hamas terrorists continue to wage acts of war against Israel, therefore when Israel responds and your cowardly heroes use Palestonians as human shields, you'll need to make accommodation for dead Palestonians.
The tunnels between Egypt and Gaza are used to bring in the necessities to help people survive the Zionist siege and blockade and that includes weapons and ammunition. Tunnels within Gaza are used to enable Resistance fighters to move around avoiding the ever present Zionist attack drone and to store weapons pending future hostilities. Zionist Israel has 5 undergound tunnel/room complexes that store the bulk of their munitions reserves and include a fully functioning hospital complex in mothballs. They are to be used in case of a major conventional future war with their neighbours. The US also has underground tunnel complexes (Norad anyone). If the Zionists and Americans can have them, why not anyone else?
I don't think that drenching you post with silly slogans and cliches' is at all helpful. It's truly only the action of an islamist terrorist Pom Pom flailer to suggest that Hamas or any of the other islamist terrorist organizations occupying Gaza are in any way "resistance" groups. Do You also need to be reminded that the the tunnels constructed by Hamas have been used to attack Egypt? Your characterization of the Hamas tunnels as being used strictly for some benevolent exercise is false and naïve.
Hamas reaches out to Egypt
Author: Adnan Abu AmerPosted April 27, 2015
The tunnels are a major issue in the strained Hamas-Egyptian relations, with Hamas accused of using them to
smuggle gunmen and weapons between the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula. When he took office in June 2014, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi decided to carry out a
military campaign targeting the tunnels and the lines of communication they offer armed cells. On April 6, Egypt announced a
firm plan to destroy them.

Have you never read the Hamas Charter? It is a virulently hateful manifesto of God-given Islamo-fascism and the blueprint for the agenda of islamic terrorism that sustains these islamo-fascist groups. It's just easier to lay the blame on a discrete group of villains with a name, rather than the religious ideology that inspires them.
By their official political position of "land for peace" and returning all of Sinai to Egypt, unilaterally withdrawing from southern Lebanon and Gaza, negotiating to give back nearly all the West Bank, and previously, in discussions with Syria regarding the return of the Golan. In other words, your concept of excusing islamo-fascism by yours (and others') clichéd references to "Zionism" is
contrary to historical (and philosophical) reality of the Jewish State. Your cliches' and slogans simply has no support in the real world, and I'm struggling to understand why you and others are so adamant about supporting islamic terrorism.
The UNRWA is the world's hugest welfare program. It exists purely to perpetuate the invented "refugee" status of Palestinian Arabs who fled their homes when Arab armies told them to get out of the way so the Jew-genocide could commence. It's the only such agency for a terror quasi-state, and it gets $100 million annually from U.S. taxpayers. Does that money go to help impoverished Palestinian Arabs who need to eat and receive medical care or does it buy new Kalashnikovs and plastic explosives for Hamas?
Cutting off UNRWA’s budget would be the appropriate anti-islamic terrorism measure aimed at Hamas in Gaza. It would force them to either provide services to “Palestinian” arabs or admit they have no intention of doing so. It would also send an important message to the UN, which perpetuates the ”Palestinian” arab welfare fraud and lends legitimacy to groups like Hamas through UNRWA’s continued existence.
