I picked up a beater 10-22 for $100 yesterday and since I wanted something I could just sling across my back when on my 4-wheeler and such I cobbled this together with on-hand parts.
LOL....Don't expect much in the way of finesse.
I wanted side swivels so I found a set of Jap. Type 99 swivels I had to see if they would fit. The top of the front band I altered a bit to clear the barrel....I was even able to use the same screw! I just had to drill through the stock. Very secure.
Then I remembered a wooden M1 Carbine style 10-22 HG I picked up somewhere years ago and fitted it. I had to whittle on the front a bit so it would go under the front band but it's secure.
The rear sling swivel is just screwed to the side of the stock. I'll inlet it by and by.
I topped it off with a old 2.5 X 25 Bushnell Banner scope....More like irons for old eyes.
I put a old GI M1 Carbine "seat belt" sling on it till i can get in a repro M1 Carbine sling....It will serve for now.
