Bodies of Three Missing Israeli Teens Found Near Hebron, Source Says - ABC News


The bodies of three Israeli teenagers who were kidnapped in the West Bank earlier this month have been found north of the city of Hebron, a source confirmed to ABC News today.

Hamas, the Palestinian militant group accused by Israel of taking the boys, has denied kidnapping the teens, though senior Israeli and Palestinian officials agree that the abductors were likely tied to -- or part of -- Hamas but operating without orders from the organization's leadership.

One of the teens, 16-year-old Naftali Frenkel, had dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship and his family is from Brooklyn, N.Y. The two others were Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach.

Israeli forces have conducted raids in the West Bank in the search for the teens and their kidnappers since they were abducted on June 12. Since the search started, more than 240 Palestinians have been arrested in the operation dubbed "Brother's Keeper," the army said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or his office is expected to make a statement soon about the discovery of the bodies, a source said.

The bodies were found in a well, in Halhul village, near Hebron. The families are informed.

- Palestinian Hamas in Gaza fear for the consqeuences of the kidnapping and killing of the boys.

- Jews in Hebron and Yitzhar call for price tag and revenge.

fanger-----some friendly advice----try not to post. Not only do you express yourself badly---
you missed basic English grammar in the fifth grade. I feel compelled to help.

1) the dead body of one's child is not 'closure'-----it is a never ending ache.----
beyond that is a need for justice----a sense of a logical response ---inadequate
as "closure"----but necessary. I doubt that the families will end up with that
either

2) there are three FAMILIES involved. The FAMILIES need closure

aljazeera has been airing it for the last three hours. They were just speaking about three teen bodies, not named. Now they are talking about them being the kidnapped boys.

With the rockets we can manage, we did in the past 15 years.

But now we should really think what will happen. Netanyahu is too full of pride to let this thing go unresponded, he knows if he doesn't react his fellow politicians will be pissed and his popularity among the people will drop drastically.

Also, 3 children were murdered under his watch. I get the feeling the Palestinians didn't say the last word in this case.

Israel has the tendency to still press the gag order, even when the story is being told on foreign media and everybody knows everything.

Censorship in Israel is a joke, if you ask me.

From the way things were going with the rockets I felt sure that something was going to happen with severe retaliation from Israel, but this is the final turn of events I feel. Particularly with the Fatah Hamas pact and this news today, plus Hamas kidnapping handbooks
