The Sunday Telegraph has learned that senators, governors and union leaders who have experience winning hard-fought races in swing states have been bombarding Obama’s campaign headquarters with telephone calls offering advice. But many of those calls have not been returned.

The article goes on to say that a well-known Democratic strategist, who had a significant role in two previous presidential campaigns said, “These guys are on the verge of blowing the greatest ‘gimme’ in the history of American politics. They’re the most arrogant bunch I’ve ever seen. They won’t accept that they are losing and they won’t listen.”

This is what we, who live in fly-over country, call arrogance Mr. Strategist (whoever you are). We simple folk are outraged because “Slim Shady” replaced the American flag that appeared on the tail of his campaign plane with the “O” logo. The seat in the private section of his plane had the words “The President” embroidered on it. We simple folk find that to be a tad conceited. Obama’s camp had a presidential seal designed and we laughed until our sides split at his pomposity. Then there were those Styrofoam© Greek columns that were over the top. “Good grief,” said the rubes to themselves, “is this guy in love with himself or what?”

Taking the bait about not having visited Iraq in more than 795 days, Obama made his Tour de Farce to Afghanistan where he shot a few hoops, the Middle East where campaign aides put up Obama campaign placards on railings near the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem and in Berlin he spoke to a throng of Germans but wouldn’t bring himself to visit our injured troops at Landstuhl Army Hospital.

Every stump speech he makes reeks of doom and gloom. He talks of change but offers no plan on how to bring about that change. After leading throughout the year, Obama now trails McCain by two to three points in national polls and his minions wonder why. Here’s your sign: Narcissism is not a resume of your experience, senator and hope is not a method.

The other day he mentioned that John McCain and Sarah Palin thought that WE must be stupid. Mark Cunningham of the New York Post summed up the private views of many: “If it suddenly seems like the Obama campaign doesn’t have any idea what it’s doing, maybe that’s because it doesn’t.”

A Democratic National Committee official told The Sunday Telegraph: “I really find it offensive when Democrats ask the Republicans not to be nasty to us, which is effectively what Obama keeps doing. They know that’s how the game is played.”
You reap what you sow, baby. You reap what you sow.
