One reads this and doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. The irony is almost to much to deal with. We are letting one of our biggest sources of major technological advances rust at the edges while paying a competitor hundreds of millions to do it for us.

So we've handed our long term enemy [who never wasn't one by the way] full control over our satellite equpment and communications their ally China full control over our economic viability and their other allies [hostile arab oil countries] control over our energy by refusing to put the afterburner on developing hydrogen propulsion and solar thermal and geothermal power... Oh, and don't forget gutting citizenshipe requirements to affect internal policy via Citizen's United..

And now there's talk of turning over control of the internet to the "world"?

Feels choreographed over a very long time period, complete with smoke and mirrors befuddling the preoccupied deviant narcissist-nation... know what I mean?

Tell you what, let's just roll out a red carpet right down to Venuezuela and the Panama Canal right up to the Heartland with the words "Welcome, come right in and take us" written in Russian, Chinese, Arabic and Spanish.. :cuckoo:

Let's just stay steady on our present course...why worry? It's too uncomfortable to rock the boat. Best to say people warning about this are just "silly" and stuck in a "1980s foreign policy". Obama is dangerous. I see that now.

Why do you think obama is so tepid? He doesn't really want to piss off the Russians.
