Also, young, immature, underdeveloped or yes, just perpetually bad teachers make the classroom about them. Good teachers understand it's about you LAST. First, it's about students, if they respect you, how you make them feel and if they want to learn from you. Then, it's about the subject.

Way down the list comes you. And at the bottom of the list--or no, not even ON the list--should come any personal details of your life you just feel you HAVE to share with kids. Unless it impacts the classroom, it's not important.
