Not always. The Democrat Party of Slavery was always about racial segregation both in legislating it and by enforcing Jim Crow laws.

Racial segregation is still a central theme of the Party of Slavery. On leftist college campuses for example, segregated 'safe places', segregated college dorms and segregated graduation ceremonies are happening.

Just sayin - Ray Croc is not the founder of McDonalds, and it wasn't his idea that made McDonalds the fast food behemoth.
The McDonald brothers are the founder of McDonalds. He wanted to partner with them to take their revolutionary way of running a restaurant all over the country. They were not interested. Unfortunatley for them.
When he managed to convince them to franchise out - Croc's operations was a massive bleeding money pit. He was deep in debt, and at the very end of the rope when the REAL founder of the McDonalds we know of - a real estate lawyer, Donald Lubin, who changed everything about how Croc was operating the franchises.
Croc isn't the reason McDonalds became McDonalds. The original concept was the McDonald brothers, and the financial ideas that built the empire was Donald Lubin.
 
I worked at a McDs just down the street from where I lived in 1967. The minimum wage was $1.25 you could get a burger, fries, and soft drink for 37 cents. All guys, no girls worked there. I think they worried about them being too much of a distraction.

Median wage was $10K a year and CEO's mostly didn't even make $100K in the late 70s.

$2.10 for non farm workers. Farm workers made $1.80 and servers made tips.
