Democratic strategist David Axelrod warned that President Biden is “dangerously out of touch” with voters on the issue of his age and health following Biden’s highly anticipated sit-down interview on ABC News.
“The president is rightfully proud of his record. But he is dangerously out-of-touch with the concerns people have about his capacities moving forward and his standing in this race,” Axelrod wrote in a post on the social platform X. “Years ago at this time, he was 10 points ahead of Trump. Today, he is six points behind.”
Axelrod’s comments came shortly after Biden’s full interview with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos aired Friday evening. The interview was the first since Biden’s widely panned debate performance against former President Trump last week.



Commentary:
If anyone goes to the tape they will see that DJT never spoke at the same time Joe did, he even finished with time remaining several times. You can't say that with a split screen. the optics would have been horrible. Also, maybe there is a way, but why wouldnt Joes mic pick up Trumps voice too?
This is getting good! A Democrat politician who’s only in it for themselves, is self dealing, will not compromise no matter how absurd their position, doesn’t care about voters or the country… or for that matter even his party.

The only thing Joe has ever stayed in touch with AFAIK, is touching and sniffing little kids. Oh what I would pay if just one of those kids would have socked Joe right in the nose when he stooped down to get in their faces!

I don't know why. I never heard of the guy until Obumma picked him, and the first two times he ran for president, he got only 1% of the vote and was busted for plagiarizing his speeches.

Why stay in touch with what you don't really care about? All they want is your vote. Joe has sent 200 billion dollars he could have spent on the border, our infrastructure and the American people to Ukraine instead fighting a war of no real concern to us. Hardly no one can really say they are not much worse off since Biden took office.

I just skipped through the ABC/Biden interview and it was cringe-worthy. Biden is hard to understand. But the most telling point of it was when Biden said right now that the election was a TOSS-UP between him and Trump! Think about that: Trump is the most attacked, the most indicted, the most vilified, most minimized political opponent in history--- NINE YEARS of embarrassing videos, admissions, investigations, his home raided, two impeachments, senate investigations, criminal committees, RINO fallouts, GOP back-stabbing, felony charges carrying 700 years of potential incarceration across multiple state lines for everything from his business-handling to records keeping, to election actions, accusations of insurrection, to even how he valued his home, and the best Biden can do against him is a TOSS-UP?

That says a lot more about what a weak candidate Dark Brandon is than Donald Trump.
