My Lutheran friend pray the Hail Mary because she does not believe Mary is the Mother of God. I just heard a Lutheran minister from her sect -- Missouri Synod -- explain on the Feast of the Holy Trinity on the 15th of June, that Jesus is God. My meager understanding of the Holy Trinity leads me to believe the same is true.

I pray the Hail Mary at least 53 times a day, and I am a Christian.

I heard an anecdotal story that a convert from Lutheranism to Catholicism made the transition to praying the Hail Mary by saying 'Holy Mary, Mother of Jesus..." and her priest accepted that.

I am a Christian and I pray the Hail Mary every day publicly with a group of people.

Why is it any concern of yours that I respect Jesus' Mother? There are many Mysteries in our Faith; if you try and understand them then you are going to miss the beaty that is His. Try this one: And the Word was made Flesh and dwelt amongst us".

Frankly why you would risk hatred of Jesus' Mother I really don't know.

Many in my home and in my car.

I doubt if I'll ever want to do any traveling, but there's a museum of the world's largest collection of rosaries in Washington State. Would love to see it.

Do you pray the Litany of the Blessed Virgin? I love praying Our Mother's names.

Our priest is kind of old-timey and loves the Litanies, and as tomorrow is the Fest of the Assumption, we will probably pray it.

I wonder if our priest is feeling fatigued. He normally likes to pray the litanies, which we were talking about a few posts back, but he skipped them at Mass this morning. Maybe I'll drop by church and do that later today.
